Abusive Dunedin bloke gets kicked off bus and throws tantrum on local Facebook Group

A bus driver who reportedly threw a passenger off a Dunedin bus for being aggressive exhibited “unacceptable” behaviour, other bus users say.

The man was unceremoniously told to “get off the bus” with a suggestion he had been previously drinking alcohol on the bus a week ago, according to a passenger who witnessed the incident on Saturday afternoon.

The man claimed that the bus driver threw him and his backpack off the bus. In the comment sections he mentioned that he didn’t do anything wrong. However, people who were using the bus at the time said the man threatened to fight the bus driver and started loosing his shit like a baby not wearing a nappy.

Minutes after the man posted his rant on the Dunedin News Facebook Group, people who witnessed the event claimed that the original poster was actually the one in the wrong.

  1. I was a bus Driver for awhile and will be going back to driving Buses soon I would just like to say that is up to the Bus Driver if he let’s a person on the bus but if that person did something a week ago it doesn’t matter what a week ago should be forgotten but Bus Drivers have a good Memory. But if the person becomes abusive towards the bus Driver and other Passengers on the Bus at time this person is scaring passengers and abusing the bus Driver we can ask the person to get off the Bus if the person doesn’t get off the Bus then you use your Cellphone to Ring the Police to come and remove an abusive person because Bus Drivers are not allowed to physically remove passengers who are abusive I should know I have been in some situations like this.
