Jacinda Ardern announces that Avondale is not part of west Auckalnd

New Zealand’s prime minister, Jacinda Ardern has formally declared that the suburb of Avondale is not part of west Auckland. In what the prime minister Jacinda Ardern called “one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make”.

A motion tabled in parliament on Friday recognised “the devastating impact that volatile and extreme behaviour from Avondale has on the reputation of west Auckland and the wellbeing of west Aucklanders. Prime minister Ardern decided to formally make Avondale part of central Auckland.

Thirty-two other suburbs have formally acknowledged that Avondale is in fact a central Auckland suburb.

The motion acknowledged the “alarming trend in hobos andbenny bludgers” including the negative impact the rest of west Auckland has being accosiated with Avondale.

Speaking in parliament after her statement, Ardern said the people of Avondale “need to get jobs and get off the fuckin’ benny!”
